The Good News of Jesus

The Gospel is the Christian message of hope, forgiveness and rescue. It is a simple enough message to be explained in a short set of principles; yet it is a message that has changed the lives of millions through out history. This message from God’s Word is about God, His world and the choices we make in life. At the heart of this message is the person and work of Jesus Christ.
- God Is the loving Creator and Ruler.
Revelation 4:11 - "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."
- But Man Rebelled Against God.
Isaiah 53:6 - "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all."
Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"
- God Is Justice and Must Punish Our Rebellion.
Romans 6:23 – “For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Hebrews 9:27 - "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:"
- God Sent Jesus to Die For Us.
John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Romans 5:8 - "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
- Jesus Rose Triumphantly From the Dead As the Ruler and Savior.
1 Corinthians 15:4 – “And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”
1 Peter 1:3 - "Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,"
- Everyone Either Chooses to Receive or Reject Jesus.
John 3:18 - "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
John 3:36 - "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."
- Receiving Jesus Means: Turning from self and sin (repent) and embrace the truth of Jesus’ person and work on your behalf. If you are ready to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior, pray (talking to God) and confess your sin; acknowledge that your are helpless to save yourself; and that by God’s grace you are turning in faith, banking everything on the finished work of Christ–who is the sinless Son of God and the only Savior of men.
Acts 4:12 – “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
Romans 10:9-10 – “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
